Is Ration Card really Digitized?

Ration Card no doubt is the most essential document in India. It is the document which acts like base and allows the card holder to apply and get other relevant government cards that are required for various day to day tasks. Ration Card in India is issued by state government. Talking about the current trend then Central Government is trying hard to get shifted to Digital India where everything will be ported to online platforms.

Likewise, state Governments are also trying hard to make the use of Digital India campaign and to get shifted towards cloud world. Ration Card is one such thing that needs to be digitized first. If you check today then almost every Indian State has a dedicated online portal that holds all the details for ration card activities in those particular states. But are those portals really efficient? It is a big question.

Digital Ration Card Concept

Main concept behind digital ration card is to provide an online platform where user can solve various ration card related issues online. He/she can apply for ration card, can check for the status, can search the ration cards manually and many more. You will get basic details on all the Govt portals but all are yet to migrate the entire functionality and we might need to wait for few more years for getting every related activity right next to our smart devices.

In few states like Delhi, has started e ration card facility that migrates the whole end to end process on online clouds. Delhi people now don’t need to carry physical ration cards anymore. All their details will be stored in online databases which can be further used for extracting adhoc reports for various Government resources.
We all are waiting for the day when all the things related to ration Card will be migrated to online platforms. Please stay in touch with us, we will keep you updated about the same.
